Webb Simpson, a three time winner on the PGA Tour, grew up in Raleigh, NC. He attended
Broughton High School where he currently is in the hall of fame. After Broughton he enrolled at
Wake Forest University on the Arnold Palmer Scholarship where he won many tournaments as
an amateur. While in college he also had the privilege of being a member of the victorious U.S.
Walker Cup team where he drained a 110-foot eagle putt, as well as playing on the Palmer Cup
Team. In 2011 he recorded his first two wins at the Wyndham Championship and Deutsche
Bank Championship. Then in 2012 he won the U.S. Open Championship, his first major, beating
the world's best at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
Although golf is an important part of
Webb's life, it takes a backseat to his family and his faith. Webb married his college sweetheart
on January 2, 2010. Now they have a son, James, and a daughter, Willow. The most important
thing to Webb is his faith and relationship with God. It is his desire to glorify God in all aspects of
his life, including golf.
