*Note: Those playing in the CGA Boy's Championship will be allowed to register late on the 27th. First round is on the 28th.
is much more than an average golf tournament. Instead, it is a challenge for every golfer in both his golf game and his faith. The Webb Simpson Challenge is based on the verses of, James 1:22-25. Our desire is for every golfer to examine this passage and understand the truth it holds for his life.
The WSC is also a challenge for the golf game. In the first seven years of the WSC, participants have consisted of strong talent with many now playing at top D1 colleges in the country and even on the professional level.
The tournament consists of 18 holes on Friday at Mid Pines Golf Club and 18 holes on Saturday at Southern Pines Golf Club. Golfers will also have full access to the club practice facilities at Mid Pines for the entire weekend.
In addition to the tournament, the weekend will include two evening meetings and other activities, such as our "glow in the dark" putting contest. Along with these scheduled WSC activities, there will also be plenty of free time in the afternoons and evenings. All meals from Thursday evening through Saturday lunch will be provided. The players will stay in the Mid Pines Inn Golf Lodge which is where all the meetings and meals will take place. Once the players arrive on site, they will not need vehicles during the weekend.
The Webb Simpson Challenge is a fun and inspiring time for all that are involved. Whether you love to play golf in a competitive but fun atmosphere, enjoy hanging out for a weekend in Pinehurst, NC with other high school guys, or just want to hang out with Webb Simpson and hear him share stories about his win at the U.S. Open Championship or his favorite golfer to play with, this challenge is for you.
We invite you to join us at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club for a challenge that is unlike any other tournament around.
The Webb Simpson Challenge raises $20,000 every year to assist in covering the costs of the event. All donations goes towards providing scholarships for golfers who can not afford the price, covering the costs of all volunteers and small group leaders who serve throughout the weekend, and to keep the overall cost reasonable for each golfer. Our goal is to provide a top notch junior golf tournament and retreat that points every golfer to Jesus while being affordable to all who want to play. Will you partner with us in providing this mission?
The Webb Simpson Challenge relies on corporate sponsors to provide scholarships, cover the cost of volunteers, and keep the overall cost low. See below for ways you or your company can partner with the Webb Simpson Challenge.
All questions and requests in regards to Webb Simpson and wanting autographs, appearances, letters and other requests will not receive a response. Players at the event are encouraged to get autographs.
